Zoe-perry
Perry is the daughter of actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Perry made her debut in the television screen in the role of Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on the ABC show Roseanne. Because of their fear of stress, the parents didn't want to see her pursue acting before she reached the age of 18. Perry was a shy teenager and didn't act. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends when she moved to the university from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry moved in New York to search for jobs on television, landing small parts in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent However, she was stricken by homelessness and brought her back to California where she found theatre jobs. Perry performed with her mom as part of The Other Place at Broadway at the end of 2013. Perry was in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie as well as Kevin McKidd. This was performed at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry was in nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. In 2017, she played her own recurring part on her own ABC Political thriller Scandal starring her father. She was also cast in her role on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mother. The character was assigned an audition to the actress, regardless of the fact that she has a family tie with the role.
